Neill joined Grimshaw in 1998 and became a Partner in 2012. He has worked across all sectors, and has international experience on major infrastructure projects, including rail stations, airports and metro projects for both public and private sector clients.

Neill is committed to environmentally conscious design, and has played a key role in developing Grimshaw’s mass-transit capability on projects such as the Dublin Metro, Abu Dhabi Light Rail →, and the Northern Line Extension. Neill is currently leading the architectural team responsible for the design of the line-wide finishes and components on the Crossrail → project in London. Prior to this he was lead architect for the above-ground elements during the concept development of the Fulton Center → in New York – one of the busiest interchanges on the New York subway system.

Neill has particular experience in high profile rail projects, including Phase 1 of the Paddington Station → master plan, Southern Cross Station → in Melbourne and HS2 stations in Leeds and Manchester. He also has significant airport experience through his direct involvement in projects for BAA at Heathrow Airport, and the competition-winning team for Pulkovo Airport → in St Petersburg.

Neill provides strategic leadership of Grimshaw’s industrial design work and led the recent collaboration with manufacturer MDT to create the Tensilation modular canopy system →. He also made significant contributions to the the Caixa Galicia Art Foundation →, Thermae Bath Spa →, Arter Contemporary Art Museum → and the Curragh Racecourse →. Neill is a trusted leader who has designed and delivered projects which are part of Grimshaw’s legacy.
