Since joining Grimshaw in 1997, Ben has delivered a series of award-winning projects both in the UK and abroad, including the Bijlmer ArenA Station → in Amsterdam, Frankfurt Trade Fair’s Messehalle 3 →, Zurich Airport →, and the Lloyds TSB London Headquarters →. His experience spanning a wide range of sectors, such as culture, transport, commercial, retail, education, sports, hospitality and master planning.

Building on his work at Battersea Power Station in London, Ben led the Grimshaw team on the redevelopment of New Covent Garden → a mixed-use development which incorporates over one million square feet of housing. This regeneration project required careful consideration of a variety of urban scales, from overall site strategy to details at a human scale.

Ben was also in charge of the Phase 2 building extension at the ExCeL Centre → in London, the award-winning exhibition and conference building in Docklands. His work on high-profile and complex building and master plan projects has involved a broad range of stakeholders, often with conflicting demands and aspirations. Most recently, and following the completion of Grimshaw’s master plan proposals for Wimbledon →, Ben led the No. 1 court → redevelopment project, the design for which is scheduled for completion in 2019.
