People Andrew Perez


As a Partner in the Melbourne studio, Andrew’s experience spans a breadth of sectors, with particular focus on the delivery of large-scale transport projects. In a seconded role to BAA he worked as Design Lead for the new Terminal 2A → project at London Heathrow. In this key client liaison role, he was responsible for the delivery of the terminal design.

In total, Andrew has been responsible for the delivery of no fewer than three masterplans at London’s Heathrow Airport. Andrew was also leading the Terminal Planning piece for the six-runway Istanbul New Airport → in Turkey, intended to be the world’ largest.

Andrew has managed the new Jorge Chávez International Airport Expansion Plan, including the design of a new terminal building, Air Traffic Control tower and Fire Rescue Station and leading the Development Programme for the International Terminal at Melbourne Airport →.

Andrew is a recognised industry leader in the master planning, design and delivery of large aviation projects and associated development, and has written guidance standards for the concept design of airport facilities. He was commissioned by Routledge in 2015 to prepare guidance for architects and designers on airports for the latest edition of the Metric Handbook.
