Google’s renowned approach to workplace design, coupled with their ambition for strong neighborhood connection and placemaking, formed the basis of the rigorous design studies, concept testing, and strategic explorations for several prominent office buildings across the master plan. Grimshaw’s expertise in innovative design, technical resolve, and authentic placemaking, underpinned by its commitment to sustainable design, informed its approach to the highly considered, thoughtful, and contextual office space design concepts. Throughout the course of this collaboration, the design team led a series of ongoing think-tanks dedicated to exploring the “workplace of the future,” imbuing the principles of Google’s workplace philosophy.

In true collaborative spirit, Grimshaw worked closely and collectively with the design team, led by Google and Leadlease, which included Heatherwick Studio, Sitelab Urban Studio, West 8, and many others.
