The scheme comprises four apartment buildings arranged around a central courtyard and a row of contemporary mews. Its optimised massing and footprint are determined by its constrained site, two adjacent conservation areas, and the need to respond sympathetically to the character and height of the surrounding townscape.

The buildings step down in scale from a height of 10 storeys facing the river and Putney High Street, to 2-storey characterful mews towards Burstock Road. This variation allows the inclusion of terraced communal roof gardens atop the apartment blocks, landscaped with planting, walkways and seating to encourage human connection and a sense of community.

To ensure efficient and spacious floorplans with minimal corridors, the circulation cores of the four apartment buildings are situated within the central courtyard.

Four or five apartment units are then arranged around each core on every storey so that the majority are dual aspect, and all have access to ample daylight and sunlight. Cantilevered balconies offer more private outdoor space and views of the courtyard and river further afield.

Recognising the importance of access and reprovision of natural, green spaces in urban contexts, the scheme's central courtyard ― while providing entry points to the apartments ― also comprises a fully public garden that encourages visitors to dwell. Designed by renowned garden designer and Chelsea Gold Medal-winner Andy Sturgeon, the landscaping across the development intends to immerse visitors in a calming, but reinvigorating green oasis.
