Appointed by Australia Pacific Airports Melbourne (Melbourne Airport), this preliminary master plan for the State of Victoria’s new international terminal provides a coherent redevelopment plan for the existing key transport hub.

The conceptual redevelopment creates an improved passenger experience within the precinct at both forecourt and landside, and proposes essential upgrades for the terminal.

With the aim of making air travel as simple, efficient and relaxing as possible, the visionary plan streamlines the current configuration to allow for improved operational planning and clear circulation routes.

The plan will contribute positive change for commercial and airline staff, as well as passengers, in order to create an optimised airport experience.

Alongside the improved amenities, the upgrade will promote the city of Melbourne and the State of Victoria as a leading place for business and tourism.

Designed for longevity, the modernised master plan anticipates continued increase in air travel and provides a facility that is carefully planned to serve future generations.
