The new Elizabeth line has a suite of signs designed especially for the project by Grimshaw, Atkins, and Maynard. The signs provide a consistent identity and wayfinding solution across the line.
Designed, developed and prototyped with Crossrail, the signs were then tendered as part of a line wide framework.
Early engagement with manufacturers allowed for the development and incorporation of new printing technologies for glass signage, along with London Underground Stakeholder engagement.
Signage totems were design to accommodate lighting, speakers and CCTV, becoming highly accessible service components.
