Construction of the Parramatta Aquatic Centre in Greater Western Sydney is nearing completion. The project is a collaboration between Andrew Burges Architects, Grimshaw, and McGregor Coxall Architects for the City of Parramatta and seeks to expand the inclusiveness and community appeal of the aquatic centre as a civic asset.

The Parramatta Aquatic Centre design is centred around the pleasures of swimming in its park setting, where the quality of its outdoor landscape and recreational space defines its core identity and experience.

The centre will feature a 50-metre, 10-lane outdoor pool with seating; a 25-metre, indoor recreational pool; an indoor Learn to Swim pool; an indoor water playground; multipurpose community rooms; steam, spa and sauna facilities; a health and wellness centre, including a modern gym and program rooms; a cafe; and 200 parking spaces. Parramatta Aquatic Centre will open in 2023.
