A provocative panel discussion was recently held in the Grimshaw London office exploring aspects of working life in the studio. The panel included a variety of senior staff, including Annelie Kvick-Thompson, Paolo Vimercati, Emily Watts, and Alexander Thonissen, and was moderated by Andrew Kesson.
There was a lively debate as the speakers and the audience discussed Grimshaw's working culture, issues with working hierarchically, how to retain talent, and the social life of the practice.
The event is part of an ongoing series of talks in which we take a moment to reflect on our working practices and how best to improve Grimshaw working life. The internal Women in Architecture group regularly organises events to this end, aiming to open dialogues within the practice.
