Articles University of Southampton's Boldrewood Innovation Campus wins RIBA South Award

Phase 1 of the University of Southampton's Boldrewood Innovation Campus won the Regional RIBA South Award on 28th April. Following the win, the innovative project has been shortlisted for the RIBA National Award.

The RIBA called the interior of the development "crisp, elegant and appropriately businesslike", highlighting the striking central staircase, the mixed mode ventilation system which provides an exceptional climate, and the open plan working spaces.

The building unites business and academia; colocating Lloyd's Register and the University of Southampton in the Global Technology Centre and Engineering Centre of Excellence respectfully, joined together by a cutting edge Maritime Institute. The two institutions are poised to become the leading source of the UK's maritime research.
