Articles London Bridge Station redevelopment opens to the public

London Bridge Station → has fully reopened to the public, marking the final stretch of the station's five year plus redevelopment programme.

Brand new additions to the station include a modern concourse, five new platforms in addition to the 10 that have already been rebuilt, two new entrances, and general accessibility improvements. The station's grand opening will occur in Spring 2018

Mark Carne, the Chief Executive of Network Rail, said: “The opening of our landmark station is a shining example of the investment we are making in the railway. I would like to thank passengers for their patience while we transformed London Bridge into the modern transport hub it is today, with more trains to more destinations, connecting north-south London and beyond."

Mark Middleton, Grimshaw's Managing Partner in London, said: "This is a great milestone for London Bridge Station with all tracks open and fully operational. We can’t take our eyes off the prize yet though as we continue with the project until all aspects are completed in the spring. We are proud to be redeveloping one of the capital’s largest and most iconic stations and look forward to the formal opening in May.
