The Duke University West Campus Union Renovation → has won the Architects' Journal 'International Building of the Year' Award → at this year's AJ Retrofit Awards.

Work on the West Campus Union completed earlier this year, adding spectacular new dining and communal facilities, as well as a top-tier kitchen area.

The Jury described the renovation as 'A skilful intervention which enhances the 1930s collegiate Gothic building by introducing links and transparency within the original limestone building and juxtaposing it with a well-considered glazed extension.'
